I read Jalopnik pretty much daily. I usually don’t check out the “nice price or crack pipe” set of articles but the one on the 1987 ASC McLaren caught my eye enough that I clicked throughto ebay to see more about the car. You know I love my fox bodies. As I scrolled through the pictures, something jumped out as familiar. Way too familiar. The car show sign.
Pretty much a carbon copy of mine right down to the bullet points.
And, also this one that I did for another feature car owner.
Not that I’m complaining. It is actually cool to see my design accepted by others.

What font are you using for the headline and the bullet points? I need to get around to making my own card.
The font is called Denmark Regular. When I designed the sign I was using a Windows XP machine and it was on there. I’m not sure if it was part of Windows XP or some other software package that I installed. My current Windows 7 machine does not have that font. If you Google that font name you will find many, many web sites where you can download it. I’m not sure how safe they are. Many seem questionable. I did try one (http://www.creamundo.com/en/denmark_regular), downloaded it and installed it on my Windows 7 machine and it seemed to go fine.
Thanks. What is the font for the all caps MUSTANG at the top? It does not appear to be the same as denmark. I’m using Linux MINT and don’t seem to have anything close to that one.
It is a custom “font” I designed myself based on the MUSTANG logo embossed in the bumper. I measured the letters to get the correct proportions. I created each letter by hand in GIMP.
Linux MINT – that’s pretty cool. I wish I could break away from Windows but it always seems there are a few apps I can’t live without.
I run MINT in a SUN VM on my XP desktop. That way I can have both XP and MINT running simultaneously on the same box. I use the XP desktop for work an the LINUX desktop for all my personal business. I can even share files between the two operating systems. It’s a great way to get into LINUX w/o having to totally abandon Windows.
FWIW I can run XP, MINT, and Win 7 Ultimate all simultaneously on the same machine. And by simultaneous I mean I am looking at all three desktops (spread across two monitors) all at the same time.
Can you send me the MUSTANG font?
I use GIMP in Windows and LINUX. 🙂
