Carlisle coverage in September 2007 Mustang Monthly
I have been waiting for this. I figured one of the magazines should be covering this years Carlisle All-Ford Nationals. One of the Mustang Monthly people was around the Saturday of Carlisle and I saw him snapping pictures of the four feature convertibles in Building T. The article covers the show as well as the pony trail from CJ Pony Parts.
It is a nice article with a couple of pictures covering the feature cars. From the inside display, Barry and Ann Andersen’s car was covered. Barry will be happy that they spelled his last name correctly! From the outside gathering they had Bob Herbert’s 7-up. I don’t know if you knew but Bob could have attended with his main club, the Mustang Club of Central PA, but chose to park with us. It is a great honor to see one of the cars that parked with us featured in the article and a mention it was “one of the many.”
I can’t say that I wasn’t a little disappointed that my car didn’t make the coverage. But, if you look real closely, it is there. Behind Barry’s car is the rear corner of my car. That may be me standing there. I was wearing a white shirt with tan shorts that day. This makes the second time my car almost made it into a magazine.
Glad too see that they gave the ole features a little love! What a great event it was and we look forward to checking it out again in the future.
Yeah, I was glad to see it, too. My issue came while I was away on vacation so I know I wasn’t the first to see it. But, when I did, I sent an email to Bob Herbert whose 7up is pictured and he was unaware that his car was in there. He ran right out and bought an issue.
