What's easier to paint grey or black trim pieces to match the white interior?

So I'm buying some of the door panel plugs for my car from late model resto, but they don't have white. I'm stuck ordering some in a different color and painting white.

My plan was to buy either the grey or black plugs, then buying some of their white interior paint to match. Does it make a difference which? I was thinking that black is a much darker color so it may take more paint to completely match the white shade of our interiors.

I also wanted to buy an extra set of seat belt guide/covers that come from the rear (around the rear speaker) since one of mine broke, but I can't find any white ones so I would also have to paint-to-match.

Maybe I'm thinking this too much? Will a simple spray of white interior paint work fine? I just wanna have a good match with the rest of the interior pieces.

Thanks!
