Removal of factory badges

I'm wanting to put new badges on my '92 feature. What's the best way to remove the original ones without scratching my paint?

    Hair drier & Fishing string - Heat the badge, try to wiggle or loosen by hand, to break the SEAL then while still applying heat, take fising string and Gently pull string between badge and surface.
