Trunk Find

edited January 2008 in Feature Mustangs
While we were doing the engine mods. We set about cleaning the car and getting it ready for this years car shows.
I had not cleaned out under the spare tire since I purchased the car. Under the spare was a piece of paper. It is not all there as some of it has turned to dust. But I can make out the last of the VIN at the top. Next line reads, Paint BZ, Trim CJ, Color J, Next line, Speedo U, SPD S, Wheel 3, Next line, Lite U, Locks P, Windows S, Next line, 12a591 2A. that is about all I can make out. If you looked at each one of these boxes it would look like this then the next box and text.

PAINT
BZ
etc.
Paper is very faded and dirty and a corner is missing. Tried to take a picture of it but it is so faded it is not showing up.
I can just make out the date Fri Apr ?? 1993. I checked and the build date of my car was the 16th which was a Friday.

  • Cool. I am pretty sure I have looked under my spare tire as part of cleaning as well. But, I have no such sheet.

Although, I will point out my post on a sheet I found behind my rear seat. It's from way back so many people who are newer to this site might not have seen it:

Jerry, yours sounds different than mine.
  • Very cool. We completely disassembled our Yellow feature during the resto process and never found and "build" sheets. We were fortunate to get the original window sticker and owners manuals but no build sheet. That would definately be something to hold on to.
  • I remembered that post. I did go back and look at yours and mine is different, but is still in the same format.
I posted the pics that came out the best on the link below.
