Cleaning white stitching on pony headrests???

Hello again!

My 93 TWF's headrests are in very good condition, but the embroidered mustang pony seems "dirty". Short of bleach (which would surely destroy the thread), is there another recommended way to get them clean and white again??? I'd really rather not have to go through trying to replace them...
