It's a stick on and the seller says they were available when the cars were new

I'd bet they're not Ford authorized. Looks like someone just trying to cash in... At $24.95 + $7.95 shipping, it seems pretty steep for just a little piece of screen printed aluminum with some adhesive tape on the back.

Back in 1989 there were a few dealerships that produced their own 25th Anniversary editions and I saw that one of them used a very similar plaque but it had also engraved the cars number and was affixed to the center console. I too think that this one may not be a legit "Ford" item. Take care.
