rear window motor replacement

edited May 2008 in Feature Mustangs
If anyone needs to replace the rear window motors I found NAPA to be the best price but you must pay a core charge and return the old motors for the refund. Installation wasn't bad, about an hour each side.
Also, I outlined a simple how-to -do-it sheet if anyone wants it, just email:

  • what was wrong with your motor? was the motor running but not putting your window back up? I took a quick look at those rear window motors in the stang and they look exactly like the window motors on my thunderbirds.

If your motor was running but the window wasnt moving most likely the rubber bushings inside broke. Thats very common in the tbird motors...the replacements are like 3 bux from the parts store and its a very easy and quick fix.
