YUK! Brake dust on white wheels.

edited August 2005 in Feature Mustangs
Brake dust on my wheels is driving me crazy. I've been unable to find low dusting ceramic pads for my stock brakes. Perhaps someone knows if any are available or can suggest any other kind of pad which is low dusting.

It sure gets old whiping down the front wheels after every drive, so any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • One option you may want to consider is dust shields. I think you can pick up some generic ones at larger auto parts stores, or get some online specifically for your car. I bought some from www.kleenwheels.com for my Explorer and they work great. I put them on all four wheels but you probably only need them for the front. They're easy to put on, but not terribly cheap...about $53 per set of 2 plus shipping. I didn't even think about putting them on my Mustang, but it probably wouldn't be worth it now as it's not driven much these days.
