no break...now my top motor is toast

edited April 2011 in Feature Mustangs
So after a short drive I go to put my top up and...no cigar. Granted, i think my top motor has been on the fritz since I got the car a few yrs back. It was always slower than my bro's 93 gt vert and I could always hear it kind of struggling...well, its apparently all dead now.

I checked on late mode resto and they have it for like 250 plus shipping but, has anyone tried the motors from ebay? They go for about $220 shipped. Any other places you guys have experience buying from?

Thanks!

  • You gotta be careful with that ebay stuff. Latemodel only sells the best...and if there are any issues....stand behind their stuff 100% ...they are almost as good as Costco! FYI....buy the pump kit with the new lines. After time the lines end up rotting. This may have been your issue, may have lost fluid, over worked the pump and burnt it out. New lines, new pump....you will be happy.
