replacement parts rant
So I recently swapped out the replacement j hook and dowel receptacles for the convertible top with this one from LRS.

The fit is great, but the quality of the plastic is terrible--when I latch the j hook from the top, the plastic piece buckles it's so thin. Not impressed at all.
I had also ordered this front windshield weatherstrip (mine has shrunk a little through the years as they all do, pulling away from the top corner).

The color is wrong (too light--the OEM is a very noticeably darker black). Plus the R side piece was cut wrong.
Now, granted LRS has great customer service, and they sent me a replacement for the R side (haven't received and had a chance to check if it's right).
My grrr moment is that my first foray into repro parts is pretty pathetic--cheap quality that doesn't fit or work right.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
I'd like to try one of the other sites like Ntl parts depot, but it's hard to keep dropping 50-100 here or there on experiments.
