'93 Ford car alarm system

Hoping someone can help with this one. My '93 has a factory Ford car alarm system installed and is working. It has a 2-button transmitter, A and D for arm and disarm. When I purchased the car it had one trasmitter that was working and 3 others that were brand new and had never been used. I want to get another transmitter working as a backup but don't know what's required to reprogram it. I have the owners manual and the alarm book for it but they don't explain how to do it.

My next step is to try a dealer but if anyone here has any advice it would be appreciated. Once I find outhow to do it I will post it for the next poor soul struggling with it

I don't know if your alarm remote looks like the one on this page, but give it a look-see http://www.ehow.com/how_6001361_program ... -viii.html and maybe the instructions will apply to your Mustang. Locating the items mentioned in these directions may be the thing that takes the longest, unless they are in the same place as the Lincoln.
