You might check the fuel pump... I have 150k miles on mine and the fuel pump is on it's last legs.

As for your post, it's definitely not too long, the story was rather enjoyable...
Here's a link from John's FAQ's...It has info on a company that supplies the correct leather and even step by step directions to replace the upholstery yourself...

John, I spoke with one of the guys at Mavromont a few months ago about the 17" Ponies. Much to my chagrain, he said they had stopped producing them at that time because it was hard to compete with all the cheap ebay wheels. Beca…The moldings on mine are also discolored. I, like you, have tried various methods to clean them, but to no avail.
When I bought the car, I had to replace a front fender, and I just repainted the molding along with the fender.
Getting together sounds like great fun, just not sure if the logistics could be worked out...
