2026 Mustang FX Package – Just How Popular is this Package?

My tracking of 2022/23 Ice White Package Mustangs and Mach E’s has slowed down a bit in recent months. This has put me onto another hunt and that is to determine how many FX Package Mustangs have been built thus far for the 2026 model year. This is a little different than my 2022/23 search as these cars are actively being built and sold new at this time so there is a little bit more information available if you care to look for it. It’s easier to find information on cars which are actively being advertised and sold by Ford than cars from several years ago.

To date, I’ve been able to find detailed option information on 4,083 2026 Mustang GT Fastbacks using information from for sale listings. Just under 3% of those cars were equipped with the FX Package. This is compared to just over 16% with the Nite Pony Package and 8% with the Bronze Appearance Package.

Unsurprisingly, the most popular color is Adriatic Blue Metallic which was the press color for this package that we all saw back in June 2025. There is every other available color covered at least once.

Moving on to the convertibles, I have found only 433 where I can identify options from for sale listings. Of those, just over 5% have the FX Package. This is compared to 22% with the Nite Pony Package and 10% with the Bronze Appearance Package. As with the Fastback, the FX Package again falls behind these other two appearance packages.

I have to believe that the take rate on this package is much under the expectations for it. Perhaps, it is because of it only becoming available in late fall of 2025. These cars only start showing up as built in the first week in November 2025.

If you take only body style and color into account, it’s probably not possible to have a 1 of 1 example but there is still a chance to get one in a color that is in rare company even if you order one today. For me, that order would be a GT Fastback with the FX appearance package and the GT Performance Package. The GT Performance Package is not something I would normally consider but I want those RECARO® Leather-Progressive Perforation Seats so bad. The only problem I see with this spec is the 19” X 9” FR/19” X 9.5” RR Oxford White Painted Cast Aluminum Wheels. I really would need to swap on the 19” X 8.5” Oxford White Painted Cast Aluminum Wheels.

This is my ideal build.
