Don't think that I would try Ford diesel oil. Powerstrokes take a specific blend to keep the oil from foaming.

Look very fresh. Ready for show season.

Mobil 1 if synthetic from day 1, Castrol otherwise.

I always put 6 quarts in mine every oil change and it was right at the full mark at the top of the hatches. 5 never registered on the dipstick.

45K miles is low and should be treated as such, but I would not let it deter you from driving your car. IMO, it is past the threshold of being a true low mileage car. I look at car sub 20K miles as low mileage cars. Rare 92 is in quite a quandry …

Great read linked above. I agree with the need for sub frames being determined by your use and driving style for the car. If it is a show car/weekend driver, it is not worth the effort and depreciation to the car. Only the Saleen market looks fav…

Nothing that a supercharger can't fix. -
Beautiful car. And, nice show sign.

The 911 body is very important to automotive history, much more so that a fox body Mustang. It will find it's place with collectors in due time. Just look at what a 930 Turbo still brings. Before the flames start coming out of your ears, hear me…

The white cars do slip by unnoticed sometimes. Great find!

My AOD didn't crap out until 157,000 miles. I had to drive it around while slipping for a while due to being in school at the time, but it keep going and never stranded me. The post '85 AODs seem to be fairly reliable, and can ta… -
I have considered it numerous times for mine. I, too, enjoy a 5-speed more, but would like to try a wide-ratio shift kit before making the switch. In the end, I have kept with originality, even though my car will never be for sale.

You're in a tricky spot with that amount of miles. Unfortunately, a 20K mile car is looked at differently than a 19K mile car. The mystique of being sub 20K, or even sub 30K is too tempting to preserve the car as is.

IMO, there are enough of each variety around to always find a low mileage example. I do not consider 1500+ of the same basic car to be rare. Uncommon, yes, but it is not 1 of 9 or 1 of 64. Drive it. I did, to the tune of 164K miles. Your restor…

Sounds like the price must have been right. [=D>]

+1 on the pics. Unfortunately, a quality top and reupholstery job is going to set back the new owner no less than $2500. The white interior is the more rare of the two, but IMO does not add value due to its high maintenance. A key feature that I …

Sold quickly.

I wish mine had 110K miles. It sits in storage w/ 163K miles of fun and memories clocked.

2000 Spring Edition Feature cars came in zinc yellow, performance red, white, black and silver w/ machined wheels. Both convertible and hardtops were available. 3901 built combining all colors and body types. A really nice example on Ebay right n…

I would be in favor of a switch. I appreciate the work and effort that has gone into developing the site. But with that said, it does isolate and favor the white feature cars, which are less than 30% of the original production. Smaller if you inc…

What if you have a yellow/black feature? Not all of us own a triple white fox or white interior. I think it would look silly.

I am not so sure about that. I have wear spots on corners that show white through the black. My car is all original and has never been apart. -
I think that I saw your Shelby in transport in Houston today heading south. Beautiful car!

Missing the chrome wheels and pony headrests.

Now that's a trophy that I would keep! Right next to the pewter plate from an MCA Grand National years ago. I wanted to go check out the show, but my loyalty was with a friend who was putting on a charity show in Lufkin. Congrats!

Unfortunately, many things can make the front end shimmy. If the car has been sitting, then I agree with rotating them first, balance second, replace third. Warped brake rotors can also cause this. I don't think that tie-rods will cause a shimmy.…

Please list some prices so we are not guessing how much you value your parts.

Won't work, unfortunately. The battering from the wind is going to wear through your paint. The top has to be fixed with something.

Welcome to the site! You are one of the lucky few that were able to find the 5-speed. Does your feature have black or white interior? Post some pics when you get a chance.
