I would leave the oil in the motor as it is. Unless the motor is low I wouldn't worry about it. If you see a sign of leakage that would concern me and make me think the motor could be low on fluid.

Why not take yours to a local radiator shop and have it rodded out or re-cored? You would keep your original tanks and get a new core if they re-core it.
