Thanks guys. I'm quite happy with it.
Android being android I put a different launcher on it to make the interface a little less blocky.
And they released a software update today that vastly improved the general performance … -
None of the capacitors appear to be bulging.
You don't have to pull the dash to do this. Just the heater controls and the radio. Pulling the whole console would make it easier but obviously would be more involved.
It really… -
Terrible weather up here in Alberta. Treated my car to new tires and brakes but it keeps snowing. Maybe May will be better.
-
I'd want to see pictures to confirm but pending that are you willing to mail them to Canada (I'd pay the extra)?
-
An early spring so I can drive it again?
-
Looks great. It did clean up well. Agreed on the taillights.
Welcome!! -
Yeah, it only hit about 13degC (55F) today by mid-afternoon. Lots of people were doing the same thing I was though. Lots of bikes, a Corvette, and a Ferrari 348 that I saw.
We'll have a few more days that are nice but chances are they … -
That Green Sales site has a lot of goodies. Wish I could find a driver's side rear quarter panel belt molding but alas they didn't have it. I was hoping they'd have pearlescent centre caps too but no dice there either.
-
My retractor covers are yellowed and have been for a long time but everything else is ok. I don't really remember when I noticed they were though.
-
My caps are slightly lighter than the wheels. The paint is perfect for the wheels and just a hair darker than the caps. It was sort of a fluke.
-
Not to bump an old thread necessarily but to answer the question for someone else down the line, I discovered that the Hyundai colour "powder white pearl" is pretty much a dead on match for the purposes of touch up. I ended up going into the store …
-
Thanks. I might drop him a line but unfortunately the shipping to Canada would be horrendous even if he wanted to ship.
-
the caps on the 92s are slightly different than the wheels themselves. they aren't painted the same way. the colour is the same but the caps are more metallic then pearlescent.
-
it seems one can find white wheels all day long but i can't find the 92 pearlescent stuff anywhere. i'd like to have some spares as well but 92 and 93 were different of course.
i've seen lots of 92s where people have refinished the whee… -
as my friend and i joke, "apple" is an ancient sanskrit word meaning "adapter".
-
91? or 92?
If he's parting out a red 92 I'm looking for a non-cracked drivers side corner rear belt molding (the one the boot tabs fit under). -

i wonder what all the spambots did during the downtime...
i really missed the ebay tracker. i had become addicted. -
It was well worth it for me since it saved me a trip to a shop to get sorted out which I was on the verge of doing. So it paid for itself tenfold.
-
the funny thing of course is there are likely fewer of any given combination of standard exterior/interior colours than of the special editions. which i try not to think about.
oh well. since i plan on continuing to use mine as a sunny … -
found a place that would do something other than pre-kit kits for new cars. only took 5 tries.
because the rest … -
thanks for sharing that. i'll be squirrelling that piece of information away for when the time comes.

so far no luck in finding a shop that will do anything but install the pre-cut kits for every car under the sun. no one will do something custom but the search continues. -
i filled in those little gaps at the top with black silicone today so it looks fine now.
overall the weatherstripping is holding up well. we treated it with silicone spray regularly so the rest are in really good shape. these ones were… -
well that sucked.
there is some adhesive at the top but even after that is separated there is no way that strip is … -
yeah, i'm not surprised the local placed have the film itself. there are tons of kit installed here. the number that will cut something custom like this might be smaller but still shouldn't be a problem.
to buy the film itself would on… -
well, this just took care of the solution to one of my punchlist items... biggest thing in gearing up to do this myself was i wasn't sure what the spray solution would be. i found a few sources to buy the film already.
-
that's right now that i think about it. it was the GTs that had the goodyears by default, right?
-
mine came with michelin XGT4s. the goodyears were eagle gatorbacks. both z-rated. those were the two choices though i think the default was the goodyears.
-
mine goes in for it's out of province inspection to complete registration and i'm thinking they're going to get me for the tires. it's got kumho ecsta's on it from 2003 and they only have 6000km on them but have started weather checking on the side…
