Only your second email came through. I did respond to it as requested.
Take care,
KevinJohn,
I added you to my address book. I activated the account (again) but i did not get the email. I checked my spam and junk email folders - but it was not there.
Could you send me a personal email using my address on file t…John,
My account was listed as "Not Activated" yesterday so I selected "activate my account". It changed to pending. My email address on file is correct, but I did not receive an "activation" email. I checked my inbox and "junk mail" fol…Having a low mileage (56K) white 93, my car overall is in very good condition. The three things I wish I could fix are the seats, door panels and the armrest pads. In fact, my pads are the item that look the most worn. They have started to come apar…OK - so here is the follow-up question.
Has anyone here done this swap before? If so, what advise can you lend to me as I consider this change.
Thanks - KevinThanks to you all for the input.
I think that Roughneck’s comments are in line with what I am thinking. My AOD, while working good for the moment, given that it is approaching 60,000 miles I am sure that a transmission rebuilt/rep…I too live in a cold climate (Connecticut) and keep my car in the garage covered from the first snow till spring. So if I go with the group it sounds like I would not be ostracized for swapping in a 5 speed. I do however like the comment made by Flyin Tiger “but would like to try a wide-ratio shift kit before making th…Glad you were able to take care of the fade. Do you know what was in the "pre-cleaning solution"?I too looked for a used 93 CD for my car. Finally gave up as John noted - far more expensive than they are worth. I use a cassette adaptor with an iPod - works great with retro cassette spinning squeaks/sounds. in Question about stock radios Comment by white6468 June 2009My speed at 2500 is in OD, but my speed is ~70-75 MPH. (OK near legal speeds). FYI Speed limit is 65 MPH.(Quote)
Thanks for the advice. I remember hearing something about the OD band being shared with second gear (or something like that) and that the band was smaller than it should have been (again - or something like that). So keeping it out…OK – you got me. I have gone through almost a tank of gas. It is so much more responsive than with the stock gears. The cost was a little more than I expected due to some preventative repairs. While the rear end was disassembled I decided to have …Sounds good since mine is an auto, not a 5 spd. 3.73's it will be. Tomorrow they will be installed. I will let you know what I think after they are in the car. Thanks for the post. With the exception of the transmission shift kit the mods will be the same. (K&N, Wires, etc..). How would you compare the before and after on the gear change. I understand there will be differences since you also had the sh…OK, it took me a while to make up my mind (ok the real delay was getting my wife’s buy-in for the $$$) – 3.73’s will be installed next Wednesday by a local speed shop. I will post after the work is done. I can’t wait!!!Regarding the emblems. In 1989 I purchased a plane-jane 1989 coupe “sport†(5.0L, 5 speed, 2.73 gears, etc…) in a rather ordinary blue. First thing I did was take off the 5.0 emblems, the 10 hole rims were ditched for a set of widened steel ri…In 1989 I ordered a 1989 Mustang LX (bright regatta blue). It came from the factory with painted (gray) stripes.
My 1993 has no stripes, but a previous owner put red tape striping in the body side moldings. Thanks for the great post. I too have wanted to replace my tired old “premium†speakers. One of my rear speakers has a buzz when I play the music at “top down†levels. Good luck with your preparations for Carlisle. I am sure your car will shine.Beth,
I have had several fox body mustangs (2 convertibles). All of the Triple White (and yellow siblings) I have seen are like the photos posted above. No switches in the speaker grills. I have seen (pre 93) convertibles with the windo…John,
